The computer is approximately 6 years old. When switching on, at times (90% of the time this occurs) it comes up with a fault code 'no operating system found', please press ctrl, alt del to try again. I believe there is an issue with the hard drive, as you can remove the hard drive and slot it back in and it will eventually work. I have also had issues with the USB ports. In general it also runs very slow now, so believe possibly the way ahead would be to replace the hard drive, factory reset to bring it back to an 'as new' condition and maybe upgrade the RAM if possible? However, obviously the question is, is this worth it, or buy a new computer….

All postal requirements were sent over and in the event the service was quick and painless and given notification of its safe arrival. As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player. Would definitely recommend EP and would use again where one can repair and reuse perfectly good equipment rather than unnecessarily throw it away. Many thanks EP. -
