Hi Team. My headphones have 2 issues.
1. The cable near the very top is broken, causing one or the other ear to cut out (or get louder than the other) when bent.
2. I suspect the left cup has an issue on the inside too, as when there is a bit of sideways pressure applied to the audio jack that's plugged in (moving the inner part in the left cup rather than the cable), the left ear also stops working.
The headset was discontinued years ago due to manufacturing defects (defective mic that is too quiet right from the start, left earcup dying). This is my 3rd copy of it and they all died exactly the same way. I've never seen closed back headphones that have such amazing imaging and soundstage however and was not able to find a suitable replacement. I'd like to save this one if possible. Could you please give me an estimate for:
1. Fixing the left earcup in the headphones
2. Fixing the cable
3. Fixing 2 cables with the same issue as I have a spare from my previous headset.
I'm pretty sure if you were to cut off the top ~5cm of the cable to shorten it and re-attach a jack to it, the rest is fine. I also wasn't able to find a good cable replacement that has in-line volume controls. Thanks
