One headphone, then both had lost audio because of a suspected broken cable connection where it connected to the headphone 2.5mm connection. Took it into a repair shop in the West End, and they did a hack job of soldering a wired connection straight onto the board inside the headphone and then ran the wire inside the 2.5m jack. Over time friction wore this down and now I have a set of dead headphones again 🙁 I was hoping to have them repaired to the point where I can just buy a standard replacement cable and plug it into the 2.5mm jack.

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
