Excellent service and kept informed throughout the process. Was initially concerned as I thought I was dealing with a local company where I could have … More dropped my DVD player in for repair only then to find out I had to post it via the Royal Mail service. All postal requirements were sent over and in the event the service was quick and painless and given notification of its safe arrival. As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player. Would definitely recommend EP and would use again where one can repair and reuse perfectly good equipment rather than unnecessarily throw it away. Many thanks EP.

Brilliant service! Communication was top notch, cost was competitive and I would definitely use again! So pleased to have my ancient Sony system working … More again!

They provided a first class service in repairing our Bose CD player at a reasonable price. Everything went well in a very timely fashion- collection, repair … More estimate, repair itself and delivery back. CD player back home and playing like new. Service at its best. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

What this repair page covers

This page focuses on WH-1000XM4 board faults within our headphone repair service category. It is designed to help customers quickly judge whether their symptoms match a repairable pattern and whether it makes sense to move forward to diagnosis.

Symptoms customers commonly report

  • Headphones got wet in the rain and will charge but not turn on. I’ve taken them apart and the only visible damage is corrosion to the circuit board on the outer part of the left ear.
  • Headphones won't charge as they say they are overheating but they aren't. The temperature sensor has been knocked off of the power board during another repair i think.
  • Temperature sensor has been knocked off the electrical unit board in the right headphone, i believe it needs to be replaced (according to a local repair shop).

Why this fault matters

Board is a meaningful commercial repair intent because customers usually search for it when they already suspect the fault and want to know whether repair is realistic. That makes a focused page more useful than a generic service summary.

Related models appearing in the same repair pattern include WH-1000XM4.

What usually causes this problem

Cause analysis depends on the specific symptoms, device condition, and whether the visible fault appears isolated or connected to wider damage.

What the diagnostic process usually needs to confirm

The diagnostic process usually needs to separate the visible fault from any related internal issues before repair viability can be judged properly.

When repair is usually worthwhile

Good Repair Candidate

This kind of fault is usually worth exploring when it is isolated, the device still has strong replacement value, and the rest of the hardware remains commercially viable.

Cases That Need Caution

Repair can become less attractive when the visible fault is only one symptom of wider liquid, board-level, or structural damage that changes the economics of the job.

Next step if this matches your fault

If your device symptoms are close to the pattern described above, the best next step is to request an estimate through the Headphone Repair route. That keeps the enquiry aligned to the correct workshop flow and gives the team the device and fault detail needed for diagnosis.
