FL & FR very low volume in surround sound modeThe unit has been overheating (kept in a cupboard). FL & FR channels work fine in stereo mode but recently when used for surround sound both channels have become very faint. The Centre, SL & SR channels all work correctly when in surround mode.
The problem can be partially corrected by going into the receiver's surround sound Audio Settings and setting FL & FR channel volume to maximum (-12db I think) but even then FL & FR still sound quieter than Centre channel (which is set at 0db).

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
