    Good morning,

    I have purchased a Ferguson 3939 Amplifier on eBay. I didn’t expect it to work to be honest. Thankfully it does.
    Only problem is, there is a constant hiss in the RHS channel. I removed the top, gave it a good blast with a keyboard air blower and a gentle spray of contact cleaner. 
    I did notice the capacitors are a little loose. One of the joints has vertically come away from the board. If you slightly tap the component, there are all sorts of various noises. I think there is a bad earth somewhere. When playing my Turntable through the amp, the sound is generally very good for a lower end amp of its age. I have attached a picture of the Capacitor.
    Obviously I didn’t pay too much for this, but cleaned it up well. 
    I’m just after some advice really. I live in Loose, Maidstone.
