    I have a 7 year old Icon Audio 25MKII valve amp. Recently got it out of storage and plugged it in, and it's making a slow pulsing, low frequency 'whoom-whoom' sound, and little else. No music coming through it.
    I replaced a valve that was pulsing too, and looking odd; but still no joy.
    I assume it's the amp – it could possibly be the pre-amp I suppose (a simple Project MM phono box) but I can't be sure as I don't have a spare one.

    Do you think this is something you'd be able to look at?
