After a long period of un-use, the unit LEDs now flash in an "Xmas tree lights" mode. I replaced the dead NiCd battery with a more recent identical (but) NiMH battery which charges, but the fault persists. I have not replaced C12.

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
