    I puchased the PM7000 N in 2022 from Sevenoaks HiFi. At the time I did not connect my Pioneer PL-516 turntable. Recently I connected the turntable to the Phono inputs and tried playing an LP. There was no sound. I have checked the turntable on another amp, a Pioneer A-400 and there was sound out put on the phono inputs. The cartridge fitted is a MM which is supported by the PM7000 N.
    Another check I tried on the PM7000 N was to disconnect the phono inputs on the amp and check for a 'hum' on the speakers to see if the phono inputs were connected. This was one check suggested on the Marantz web site. I then contacted Marantz support directly by way of their online web portal. Matthew at Marantz support supplied the following response:

    Thank you for your email.
    Firstly it is worth noting that the PM7000n does not support Moving Coil cartridges which might be the reason why you cant hear anything, it only supports Moving Magnet or MM style cartridges, in this case it will be best to use an external phono stage that supports both types to resolve.
