I have an Onkyo TX-SR578 surround sound amp that I use with my TV. It was flashing the standby indicator which means it has triggered its protection circuit. I followed the reset instructions (unplug, leave an hour, etc.) without success and then disconnected all speakers and the light still flashed.
Assuming an internal fault I took it to a local general repair shop who examined and reported: : fault lies with audio amp pcb unable to trace fault no service info and parts no longer
available – no further repair possible.Are you familiar with these items and can you repair?
