I have a pioneer VSX-520 AV Receiver that recently stopped turning on and I believe it is because I accidentally blew the power supply.I bought it second hand and was happily using with two small un-branded passive monitors. I noticed that if the input signal was too high (at a peak), then the unit would switch itself off automatically.
After I accidentally dropped on of my monitors, I would run the sound through a single channel and noticed the automatic switch off issue gradually worsened. Then one day, after running on high volume for a period, it wouldn't turn back on.
