    The laptop is an Mac Book Pro (15-inch Mid 2012 with 2.3 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 with 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 Memory and with an NVIIA GeForce Graphics chip etc. Serial Number: CO2K8623DV33. I had a new battery installed approx three years ago and at the same time a solid state drive installed. I have not used the laptop since then, for about a year maybe and when I recently tried to boot it up it will not go beyond the battery being above 1% charged. The screen activates and I can move the cursor with the trackpad but I cannot click on anything as the trackpad otherwise is dead. Neither can I select anything with the mouse. Might it be that the battery needs to above 1% charged to activate any of the applications?
