I think the fans are malfunctioning, even on turbo setting they spin for like 5 seconds and then stop when they used to spin continuous on that setting, I haven't been able to take the back off of the laptop in the 5 years I've had it due to a faulty screw that it came with so I am unable to open it up and clean the inside myself I'm unsure if it's even possible to do so due to the screw. I could be completely wrong but something is screeching loudly inside, sometimes consistent, sometimes it comes and goes.
