      • I was using the hoover and turned it off briefly, a few minutes later I turned it on but it was dead, I checked the motor directly (110v) and that works, there is continuity through the board from live and neutral but no voltage on the live side, I have checked as much as I can with a multi meter but I've gone as far as I can with it, it's a small board with diodes, a capacitor, resistors, transistors and 1 IC.
