Hi, i have a 3.5" hard drive which i cant access because the pcb from the bottom of the drive has been damaged, it looks like it has been burned out and i was wondering if if it was possible to repair and if so how much would it cost.
failing that i have purchased an identical board from ebay, however there is a bios chip that would need transplanting from the damaged board to the donor board, its probably a simple job for someone with the correct skills, i would appreciate your advice, i'm happy so send you some photos of the damage if that would help

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player. Would definitely recommend EP and would use again where one can repair and reuse perfectly good equipment rather than unnecessarily throw it away. Many thanks EP. -
