I was in the process of building a DIY synthesizer kit (Din Sync Gilbert) when one of the IC sockets I was installing got jammed, broke, and needed to be removed to be replaced by a new one. I quickly realized that I was in over my head, and I've not been able to remove all of the legs. Worst of all, I have inadvertently burnt some of the solder contacts. I just hope I can have the rest of the IC socket removed and the contacts/traces repaired so I can install the replacement. Does this look salvageable?

All postal requirements were sent over and in the event the service was quick and painless and given notification of its safe arrival. As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
