Just over 3 years ago I purchased a Swann Professional Security System NVR8 7285 8 Channel 1080p Network Video Recorder from Screwfix UK. Recently I noticed the recorder was no longer working – orange and green lights at the back of the unit flashing on and off and no signal to the monitor. I called Swann technical support who told me to test the power pack to check the correct voltage was getting to the recorder because the device is failing to boot up. So, I got an electrician friend of mine to check the voltage with his multi meter and he confirmed the voltage output was correct. When I called the Swann Tech team back to report that there was no problem with the power supply, I was told that because the machine is out of warranty there was nothing else, they could do to help.
