The device does not switch on after a recent mains power failure.
I have tested the power supply and it is working correctly.
There is a known concern with this device which is typically due to a failed BC847B transistor and possibly a failed 100 ohm resistor.
The device powers up if shorting this transistor, so I suspect the transistor has failed.
