    This replaces the bike rear wheel, and with a separate Tacx product can be connected to a PC. This enables Tacx videos to be reproduced on the PC and provides the simulated pedal resistance for hills. This machine is 18 months old and replaced another one which failed. I assume the Tacx warranty will no longer exist.
    The problem is that when I was cycling up a hill the resistance suddenly died. In more detail when I plug the unit in a fan starts up, normally after one second it would stop but it continues. There are three neons and normally at least one would light up (to indicate power) but they are all dead. This particular machine will run without a power supply, just using human power, but that does not work. The machine has been stripped of covers but I have not looked into the electrical side as a certain amount of stripping will be required. The work so far has resulted in about the removal of many many screws so I am becoming increasingly nervous in case it has to go back to Tacx. In summary the power supply looks OK as a fan works on the unit but the supply seems to be disrupted beyond that early stage. I hope this makes sense. Can you help?
