Item has a 12 lead acid rechargable battery which had completely decharged and was replaced with new version of same, appears to have lost a contact at the switch, no fuse blown and electronics across pcb – but LED display board shows no sign of operation, each operation switch appears to have power to it but nothing showing on display panel. Display panel not responding to anything, power source light indicator had been 'red' now with replacement new battery it shows 'green' – but no response at display/output.
I have undertaken rudimentary tests across the PCB and undertaken visual inspection, no fused elements, no burnt out resistors or sections of the loom, an optional remote control panel (not used) was not connected and had a small element loose, fixing this and attaching the wires to the main PCB has made no difference to the non operability of the unit.
I believe that a UK supplier of the unit is based in Hamble and through them it is possible to purchase a fully new replacement PCB but at a significant cost, rendering the unit useless to me. I am interested in having a diagnosis of the unit undertaken and an estimate of the likely repair cost. I am willing to deliver.
