I had been trying to modify a brushless motor controller (RRP ~£70) and extend a few of the connections to better suit a housing. I was desoldering some pins on a PPM input and pulled one of the throughhole grommets from the board. The surrounding area seems intact apart from some marks from my poor soldering attempt. I have attached a picture of both sides of the area in question.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
