I have tried all the fixes I can find on the internet, holding the Power button, sometimes whilst holding the Home button, with charger connected and unconnected, but nothing works. I believe it needs a new screen. There is a small solid black line on the screen, between the 2 lower birds.

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
