Hello,
I recently took my Kindle Fire abroad for a 9-day working holiday. The device has never previously given me any problems and has only had moderate/occasional use overall. On the outward journey, during the airport security check, I transferred the fully-charged, switched-off device from a rucksack to a plastic bag, for literally a matter of one or two minutes, along with other items ready to go through the scanner. Inside the carrier bag was a bottle of mineral water the top of which wasn't fully secured, and the outer case of the device was slightly damp when I retrieved it for the scanner check. The device could not have absorbed more than a VERY small quantity of water
However, since then the device has not switched on. Whenever I have tried to charge the device from the mains, the device has fired up for a few seconds, displaying the lit-up Kindle Fire logo for just a few seconds before the logo then disappears again.
Please would you let me have an estimate for repair of the device and the nearest store or delivery address for sending the device for repair.

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
