    o you repair surface pro 4's?

    Its screen would not turn on… so I connected it to a tv (via HDMI) and updated windows and drivers then screen started working again too!

    Then I made the mistake of turning it off

    Now its black screen and won't connect to a monitor (vga or hdmi) though the screen says its connected to "in power save mode" and when I pull out the connector it the screen says disconnected from …. so it looks like screen is identifying surface pro ….

    I noticed there was something going on with the screen so shone a bright light on it and could make out that I was in uefi and subsequently the surface logo came up…
    but nothing else.

    It feels to me that its a software / drivers issue but I guess without visibility of what was going on ?? – I guess I'm looking for someone with experience that could bypass the screen and do a factory reset on it or something like that.
